1.⁠ ⁠All the lists include Visa gift cards so the scholars can purchase their perishables like frozen meals and milk for their cereal. Laaaaawd, these babies of ours love Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

2.⁠ ⁠Many of our scholars come from environments where their interests weren’t nurtured, and often, we’re the first to ask, ‘What do YOU want?’ We know some requests, like a wig for a scholar who loves hair, aren’t directly tied to education, but they matter. Like any good parent, we encourage them to ask, knowing that feeling seen and valued is just as important as the essentials. While we can’t promise everything, we try—because sometimes, it’s the little things that remind them they are cared for.
